Ivanoe
Also known as Ivanhoe
Operated by EDF .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read
IBM iDataPlex cluster of Xeon X5670 6C 2.93GHz processors on InfiniBand, 16,320 cores at 168.8 TFlop/s Rmax and 191.27 TFlop/s Rpeak on 510 kW, which TOP500 spells Ivanhoe and lists under EDF R&D with an installation year of 2010. EDF's own press release says IBM built it, that it entered service in early 2011 and that it ranked 37th on the TOP500 at the time, which matches the 37th place on the November 2010 list. A patronage agreement signed on 24 February 2016 gave the machine to UPMC (Universite Pierre et Marie Curie) in Paris, where EDF says it serves over 600 users, which is the basis for the status date. Its last TOP500 appearance was rank 471 on June 2015.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
