A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. What this machine is made of

The read
The Xeon quad-core InfiniBand cluster that CI TASK, the Gdansk University of Technology computing centre, commissioned in February 2008 and that TASK's history page calls the fastest machine in Poland at the time. TASK's documentation (filed under retired systems) describes 336 servers with 672 boards and 1,344 Intel Xeon quad-core 2.33 GHz processors, 5,376 cores and 10.75 TB of memory, on a fat-tree InfiniBand fabric of 20 Gb/s links with Gigabit Ethernet management, 107.5 TB of disk and Debian Linux, integrated by a consortium of WASKO and ACTION, with a theoretical 50 TFlop/s; memory was doubled in June 2008. TASK says it reached 45th on the 18 June 2008 TOP500; TOP500 lists it at 46th with 5,336 cores, 38.17 TFlop/s Rmax and 49.73 TFlop/s Rpeak (ACTION Cluster Xeon E5345, InfiniBand DDR), on six lists to November 2010. The small differences in core count and rank are unresolved and the TOP500 figures are used, so the tier is reported. Galera Plus extended it and is recorded separately.
