Samsung SDS Gumi AI Data Center

Also known as Samsung SDS Gumi 60 MW

Operated by Samsung SDS at Samsung SDS Gumi Site .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

A 60 MW AI data center that Samsung SDS signed an MOU on 7 January 2026 (announced at CES 2026) with Gyeongsangbuk-do province and Gumi city to build on the former Samsung Electronics Gumi Plant 1 site, which SDS acquired in December 2024. Operations are scheduled to begin in March 2029. The design uses hybrid cooling, with chilled water delivered directly to high-power GPU servers and air cooling for network and storage gear. No accelerator model or count is stated. TechRadar confirms the land purchase and SDS's existing Gumi data center but not the 60 MW figure, so the tier is reported. It has never submitted an HPL result.
