Stargate UK (Cobalt Park)
Also known as Stargate UK; Nscale OpenAI NVIDIA UK sovereign platform
Operated by Nscale at Stargate UK Cobalt Park Site .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.
What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read
Stargate UK, announced on 16 September 2025 by Nscale, OpenAI and NVIDIA as an overarching infrastructure platform for OpenAI's sovereign UK workloads. OpenAI will explore offtake of up to 8,000 NVIDIA GPUs in Q1 2026, with potential to scale to 31,000 GPUs over time, across a number of UK sites that include Cobalt Park in the North East AI Growth Zone near Newcastle, which is the named site recorded here. The GPU model and a MW figure are not stated for Stargate UK itself, and no installation evidence had been found by 9 October 2026. The separate Nscale Loughton campus for Microsoft is its own row. Nscale's release and RCR Wireless agree on the 8,000 and 31,000 figures; the row stays reported because the offtake is only to be explored. It has never submitted an HPL result.
